How my illness became my beautiful obsession

I’m a career businessman and CEO for fortune 100 companies. I came to a crossroad in my life when I was diagnosed with a rare and incurable cancer several years ago. This lead me to radically alter my life choices and focus solely on things I love. Having been an avid photographer since teenage, I chose to redirect and live out my passion for travel and photography. My photos over the last decades have organically made magazine covers, print advertising and have been viewed over ten million times on social media sites.
My wife Anita and I have travelled to 100 countries and we have lived in over a dozen in amazing places like Iran, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Liberia, Lebanon, the Balkans and Indonesia. Since then these countries have dramatically changed as has the rest of the world. My obsession now is to photograph vulnerable environments, vanishing cultures and endangered species before they are cemented over by shopping malls, parking lots and fast-food restaurants. The window of opportunity is closing fast. 
People following our photo journeys started asking if they can join us on our next great adventures and as such “Vanishing Worlds Photo Tours” was borne. Anita and I relish meeting genuinely kind souls with adventerous spirits and intrepid curiosity. We speak six languages between us and are citizens of Switzerland, Hungary, Lebanon and UK.
